Hi Janet,
I would like to know where in the uk i can purchase a tailors
board. I have searched the web but they all seem to be in amercia. I have seen you use the board in past issues of sewing world. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mariam,

i don't know of anyone in the uk at the moment that makes the tailors board. I purchased mine from Sew-Direct some years ago. This is a June Tailor design. But i believe there were problems obtaining these and the point presser and clapper of the same make. I found an Australian website www.punchwithjudy.com that has them. Although they confirm thast they have now been discontinued. See below

I have a few to offer as a set combo only for this special price.   The June Tailor Tailor Board is for custom detail pressing, putting every facing edge and seam within easy reach of your iron.  For all those hard to reach areas in dressmaking and tailoring, this board is a marvel.  Use the padding for shaping and the unpadded for this, crisp edges. The Tailor Board is used in 5 balanced positions and has 12 differently shaped pressing surfaces. With the padded surfaces for details which should be shaped into the garment to look professional: set-in sleeves, darts, shoulder and hipline seams and for touch-up dressing.
