Take a look at the efforts of some of our new students this month, who have had great fun completing projects. Kaye and Judith made an ultra chic lined tote bag with matching print patched pocket on the ‘Sewing for beginners’ day on 16th May. Well done girls!
Ruth has attended a number of one day courses in order to complete a rather stylish fifties inspired frock. Fully lined and featuring gathered capped sleeves and skirt with bodice waist band and invisible zip, I’m sure you’ll agree that’s pretty impressive at any standard, let alone a beginner!
The fit is great too, thanks to the process of fitting the pattern and making a toile, before the fashion garment is cut. You should feel very proud Ruth. Lovely work!
If you’re feeling nervous about sewing and have never used a sewing machine before, take a leaf out of the girls books here, you won’t be disappointed!
Why not join us for the next Sewing for beginners course on 20 June? Hope to meet you soon!
